MY STORY

Where accounting

meets analytics

My path into data analytics did not start with Python or SQL. It started with balance sheets, reconciliations, and the quiet discipline of making financial numbers tell the truth. As an accountant managing full-cycle finances for a diverse client portfolio and building the reporting tools that reduced manual effort and brought structure to messy processes, I spent years learning how to find meaning in complex financial data and communicate it clearly to people who needed to act on it.

That foundation changed everything when I moved into business analytics. I built predictive models in Python, designed Tableau dashboards for senior leadership, and saw firsthand how the right analysis at the right moment could reshape a product strategy. The finance background was not a limitation. It was a competitive advantage.

Today, I work at the intersection of financial analysis and organizational decision-making, analyzing large volumes of financial data to surface trends, support audits, and equip leadership with the information they need to act with confidence. I analyze $50M+ in monthly financial data, build KPI frameworks across municipal operations, and develop the kind of reporting infrastructure that turns raw numbers into decisions. I hold a Master of Business Analytics from The Schulich School of Business and a CBAP certification that reflects years of applied, structured analytical thinking.

I am now focused on bringing that rare combination of financial literacy and technical analytical skill to a dedicated data analyst role.

Start with the business question

Every analysis I run begins with understanding what decision needs to be made. Data without context is noise. I make sure the question is sharp before I ever open a dataset.

Let the data lead

I approach every dataset without assumptions. Whether I am cleaning financial records, querying operational data, or building a predictive model, I follow what the data actually shows rather than what I expect it to say.

The final step is always communication. I build dashboards and reports that non-technical stakeholders can understand and act on. Insight that stays in a notebook has no value.
